Meet the always unique Budapest, the capital of Hungary, with brand new openings @ stand F330 at IMEX 2022
It is a great pleasure to have live meetings again and to ensure a sizeable Hungarian stand for 26 partners to introduce themselves at IMEX Frankfurt 2022. Hungary is an always unique international business events destination that works; it’s accessible, affordable and attractive, offers a broad range of classic and state-of-the-art venue and hotel options in all categories and is a great value-for-money destination for both event organizers and attendees. In addition, the rich cultural heritage, outstanding gastronomy and impressive pre & post-event attractions and activities make Hungary a must-see place.
In addition to beautiful, popular conference hotels and event venues, there are various new additions to boost the reopening of business. The recent expansion of the HUNGEXPO Budapest Congress and Exhibition Center (Venues – HUNGEXPO) features a brand-new scalable congress centre for up to 2,000 people, ample break-out rooms and seven large exhibition halls of between 3,000 and 20,000 m2. The recently opened The House of Music Hungary (https://magyarzenehaza.com/en) is situated in the City Park. The lavish new structure designed by Sou Fujimoto features concert halls, an open-air stage and a prestigious exhibition space dedicated to the rich history of music in a country that includes Liszt, Bartók and Zoltán Kodály among its national composers. The Museum of Fine Arts (https://en.museumevents.hu/eventvenues/museum-of-fine-arts-budapest) is a part of the monument complex of Heroes’ Square, one of Budapest’s World Heritage sites. The new Ethnographic Museum (https://www.neprajz.hu/en/), which was voted the best public building globally and was also awarded the Best Architecture Grand Prize at the International Property Awards in 2018, opened its doors a few days ago. The Castle Garden (https://varkertbazar.hu/en/castle-garden), designed by Miklós Ybl, is located in the heart of Budapest, at the base of the Buda Castle District. The neo-Renaissance complex is a World Heritage Site, where past and present, art and nature, modern and classical meet. The Royal Hungarian Riding Hall (https://foorseg.hu/en/royal-riding-hall/) is surrounded by the renewed Csikós Court and also makes an excellent outdoor venue. Inside the building, the grandiose, elegant riding hall can serve as an exceptional venue for large-scale corporate events, conferences and exhibitions. Did you know that the renovated world-famous Hungarian State Opera (Opera House – Opera) on Budapest’s so-called ‘Champs-Élysées’, Andrássy Avenue, is open again after nearly five years of closure? Its uniqueness has been highlighted by many changes during its five-year renovation. It can accommodate exclusive business events either combined with or separate from programmed performances. As a highlight, VIP guests can even enter via the Royal Staircase, crossing the Red Parlour to the Royal Boxes.
Through the successful campaign of Power of Live Events, our event sector, which has become a model during COVID-19 and thus got awarded multiple international recognition, which proved its commitment and importance. Despite known circumstances, events are still taking place with complete certainty and safety, from incentive group programmes to congresses for thousands of people. Our focus on the present serves a sustainable future. Hungary is continuously strengthening its commitment to sustainability, sharing the view that our global future depends on our success in achieving the holistic, integrated and participatory implementation of the social, economic and environmental dimensions of sustainable development.
