The readers of Kongres Magazine chose Hungarian professionals in three categories as some of the most significant players in the meetings industry in New Europe!

The Slovenian MICE magazine has compiled a list of the industry’s most influential players every year since 2014. At the end of December 2020, over 2,600 international experts voted for the sector’s most dominant candidates. Six years ago, Kongres Magazine began compiling a professional list to highlight the industry’s most influential members of excellence.

The founders intend the list to be a serious professional platform that can support customers and clients when looking for a reliable partner at any time, not only now, at the restart of the industry. Thus, nominees for Kongres Magazine’s list of the most influential MICE professionals can only be put forward by a third party based on substantive pre-determined criteria. As in recent years, its readers continued to decide on the winners in a vote at the end of 2020. The five nominees with the most votes in all seven categories were added to the prominent annual list and presented in alphabetical order without scores in the magazine’s January issue.

In 2020, three Hungarians were included among Europe’s best meetings industry players in three different categories:

• Anna Békefi, Director of the Budapest Convention Bureau, among the leaders of the top five destination representatives
• Zsófia Dobos, Co-Founder of the Bo-Live Branding Agency, among the representatives of the five best creative and live marketing agencies
• Zsolt Kassai, CEO of Special Effects Plc among the top five professionals in the top meeting services – technology, multimedia and online platform category

The addition of Hungarian professionals to the list has great destination marketing value, as it increases the visibility of the Hungarian industry – something that is even more important to highlight in the current situation. Congratulations to all nominees and winners!
