One of the world’s most respected awards in urban development, the prize recognises cities that demonstrate outstanding achievements in creating liveable, vibrant and sustainable urban environments.

The jury praised Budapest’s ability to deliver impactful, forward-looking urban development, highlighting the city’s strategic innovation, tactical urbanism and strong community-focused planning 🏙️🌱

This recognition places Budapest among a select group of globally outstanding cities, alongside London, Antwerp, Guangzhou, Taipei and Tianjin.

For the international meetings and events industry, this is also an important message: Budapest is not only a beautiful and well-connected destination, but also a city shaped by innovation, liveability and long-term urban thinking.
